Important Information for Visitors
Tourists visiting Aruba are not permitted to work, seek employment, or conduct business during their stay. To enter the island, all visitors must have:
A return ticket or confirmed onward travel outside Aruba
Valid travel documents for their return home or next destination
Sufficient funds to cover their stay in Aruba
U.S. Pre-Clearance
One of Aruba’s unique conveniences is that it offers U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) pre-clearance at Queen Beatrix International Airport. This means that when you depart Aruba for the United States, you complete all U.S. immigration and customs procedures before boarding your flight.
Here’s how it works:
After check-in, you’ll bring your luggage to the U.S. CBP facility.
An officer will complete the necessary customs and immigration checks.
Once cleared, your luggage is loaded onto the plane and you proceed directly to your gate.
When you arrive in the U.S., you’ll be treated as a domestic passenger, making your arrival faster and far more convenient than at most international airports.
This streamlined process is another reason why so many North American buyers choose Aruba as their preferred location for a vacation home or investment property.
