Relocating to Aruba
If you’re considering relocating to Aruba, you’ll need to apply for a residency permit. It’s important to note that this permit allows you to live on the island, but not to work. If you wish to work in Aruba, a separate work permit must be obtained.
Applications for residency must be submitted in person, or through an authorized representative, at the Department of Immigration and Naturalization Services (DIMAS). When applying, you’ll need to provide:
Bank reference letters
Home and business addresses for the past 10 years
A written explanation of why you wish to live in Aruba
Police clearance (issued within the last two months)
A valid passport for Aruba
Three passport-sized photos
Proof of vaccination (including smallpox, if required)
A recent medical declaration confirming you are free from contagious or mental illness (within 30 days of travel)
Proof of payment of the legal application fee
Relocating to Aruba can be a smooth process when you’re properly guided. At Aruba Lifestyle Realty, we not only help you find your ideal home but can also connect you with trusted local professionals to assist with your residency permit application.
